Nes Safe Weight Loss Tips Journal


My name is Stephanie, but I am often referred to by my nickname, Nes. In 2005, after being obese the majority of my life, I decided to lose weight. I starved myself, and obsessively exercised. I ended up with a visit from the paramedics 4 months later. I had lost 97 lbs in 120 days, and was dying.

I became pregnant with my second child in 2007, and didn't really gain that much weight, and was able to maintain a healthy body at 150 lbs. for many years. In 2010, I became pregnant with my third and last child, and really packed on the weight. 

After the birth of my last child, I began drinking excessively, and suffered through alcoholism. I am now 5 months sober, and plan to never drink again.

   Safe Weight Loss Tips

The weight gain associated with the drinking was substantial. I am currently at 237 lbs, and very unhappy. I am tired a lot, and it feels difficult to move. I would like to regain the energy I had prior to my bout with alcoholism, as well as improve my body size, and strength.

I am ready to achieve my goals.

Hi Nes, 

Thank you for joining us and creating a journal to share your safe weight loss tips. I get so much strength from reading peoples journals and learning from their ups and downs. You have a beautiful family, you guys look so happy on the picture.

Congratulations on your 5 months of sobriety that is no easy feat. I know from my struggle with food that changing any habit, be it drinking, smoking, eating, whatever, it is not easy. 

I’m not sure if you are in AA, Alcholic’s Anonymous, or not but if you are I hope that the tools and coping strategies that you are learning in your groups can be transferred over to helping you control your eating habits as well. You may have to think a little bit about how you can reword what you are learning into safe weight loss tips but it will be worth it. 

Green Kale SmoothieI feel that food is just as addictive as other vices and those of us that suffer with weight issues can benefit from the structure and support of people going through the same things. 

That’s why I decided to offer free weight loss help because we can all motivate and encourage one another in a safe, non-judgmental environment. 

Since you have been at both extremes with your weight I am excited to hear all that you have learned through the years. 

I’ve tried several diet programs myself but now I am determined to achieve natural rapid weight loss. 

I like the liquid weight loss diet because I can make my green smoothies and juices in the morning using my vita-mix blender then I know exactly what I put in it. 

The green smoothie in the picture is what I'm drinking right now. I made it in my blender from It has kale, celery, parsley, tomato, pear, and mixed frozen fruit. Yummy.

What do you think is the best exercise for weight loss? The number one safe weight loss tips that I plan on implementing soon is to buy a pedometer and walk 10,000 steps each day and I have an elliptical machine at home that I have big plans for.
