When we first got our Vitamix blender we were nervous. We didn’t realize that the Vitamix parts were so sturdy. We tried all kinds of fruit smoothies and fruit juices.

Then I got adventurous and began adding a large handful of spinach to all of my fruit smoothies.

I even added spinach to my ice cream. What I’ve found is when mixed with other ingredients like strawberry, bananas or oranges, the spinach taste disappears.

WOW!!!

Now how cool is that?

I can make my kids homemade strawberry ice cream with my blender, Vitamix 5200, add a handful of spinach and they still devour it. The color does change to a chocolate color but it taste great still.

The Vitamix parts are very sturdy. But one vitamix part you want to be careful of is the tamper stick. The tamper stick is used to push all your ingredients down into the bottom of the machine so everything gets blended smoothly.

Make sure you NEVER, never ever-ever put the tamper stick into to blender pitcher without the cover on like I did, or you will be sorry, like I was. vitamix parts

My tamper stick got beaten up pretty bad.

Thankfully it’s still useable.
